VIOLENCE IN FUTO TODAY

The students of federal university of technology Owerri, embarked on a peaceful protest which was later in the day turned to a violent one.

The organisers of The protest lead by Comrade Ogbonna Collins the former SUG PRO just completed their publicity... they went from lodge to lodge mobilising students... The present PRO just called Ogbonna Collins telling him to call off the protest but to no avail as Ogbonna Collins said he has passed through all the authorities including SSS but they did not hear his plea...

The students during the protest destroyed the school properties removing department sign posts.

Report says that the reason for the protest rises up because of the unnecessary expenditures which the school imposed including the increment in school fees.

A student interviewed said that his friends in other federal institutions pay less fees than his. exexpenses
